Industrial electrical work, Valjevo. From the main cabinet to the last machine on the floor
For workshops, industrial units and production plants we build industrial cabinets and high-power distribution, and connect the machines, so each one gets the supply and protection it needs. We install main and sub-distribution cabinets and run the cabling overhead on trays, out to every workstation. From our seat in Valjevo, we fit out workshops and plants in Belgrade and elsewhere in the country.
What we do
- Industrial cabinets: main and sub-distribution, for a unit or workshop
- High-power distribution from the supply to the sub-distribution cabinets
- Machines connected to the manufacturer's specifications
- Three-phase supplies and industrial sockets for machines
- Cable trays and ladders above the machines and along the walls
- Motor and machine protection in the cabinet
- Control cabinets and wiring up machine automation
- Lighting for industrial units and workshops
When you need it
You're moving production into a new unit that has only a supply and a main cabinet. Then the power distribution is planned around the layout of your production lines.
You've bought a machine with a three-phase motor, but the premises only have single-phase power, or there's no spare way for it in the cabinet.
The number of machines keeps growing, but the distribution was built for fewer. The cabinet runs hot, or breakers trip when several machines start up together.
You're rearranging the machines on the floor. The supplies move with them, and the cables take new routes overhead instead of across the floor.
Good to know
A three-phase supply in Serbia is 3 x 230/400 V: 230 V between a phase and neutral, 400 V between two phases. A machine with a three-phase motor needs all three phases, and the motor's rating plate says what voltage its windings take and how they're connected, star or delta. A motor marked 230/400 V is connected in star on our grid; in delta, each winding gets 400 V instead of 230 V and the motor overheats.
How we work
You send us the machine list.
For each machine we need the power, voltage and current from its rating plate; a photo of the plate will do. Add a sketch of the unit showing where the machines stand.
We plan the distribution.
From the power figures we work out where the cabinets go, which routes the cables take, and what cable size and protection each machine gets. Those choices, and how long the runs are, also set the price.
Cabinets and trays go up.
We mount the main and sub-distribution cabinets and the cable trays and ladders, then pull the cables out to where the machines stand.
We connect the machines.
Each machine is connected to the manufacturer's specifications, with motor protection in the cabinet; we check the phase sequence before the first start, and the direction of rotation with a short jog.
We commission under load.
We start the machines one by one, then together, and check that the distribution copes with them all running and that the protection doesn't trip for no reason.
Questions
What is high-power distribution?
It's the section of the installation that carries power from the supply and the main cabinet out to the sub-distribution cabinets around the unit, on heavier cables. Those cabinets feed the machines, lighting and sockets. With a well-planned layout, a fault on one machine trips only its own circuit, while the rest of the floor keeps working.
Do we need more approved power for a new machine?
You do if the machines running at the same time need more power between them than Elektrodistribucija Srbije has approved for you. The request for more power goes to them. We add up the rating-plate figures, compare the total with your approved power and prepare the distribution for the bigger supply once you get it.
Can you connect a machine we bought ourselves?
Yes. To connect it we need the manufacturer's data: power, voltage, current and the recommended protection, all of which is on the rating plate and in the manual. If the machine was built for another market, we check before the first start that its voltage and frequency match our grid.
