EV chargers in Valjevo. Your car charges at home while you sleep

We install home and business EV chargers, each on a dedicated circuit with the right protection, so you can charge overnight while everything else in the house carries on as normal. We look at what kind of supply you have and how much power it's approved for, run a cable out to the garage or parking space, and connect the wallbox with the RCD type that chargers call for. We fit chargers in Valjevo, our seat, and also in Belgrade and other places in Serbia.

What we do

  • Home and business chargers (wallboxes) on a wall or post
  • Supply capacity check: single or three-phase, approved power
  • Protection: a breaker and the RCD type the charger requires
  • A dedicated circuit feeding only the charger
  • Cable to the garage, carport or parking space
  • Charging on the cheaper night rate, where the charger and meter allow it
  • Help with the request to the grid operator for more power

When you need it

  • An electric car or a plug-in hybrid is on its way, and charging from an ordinary socket takes all night and more. A wallbox on its own circuit charges faster and puts no load on your sockets.

  • The car is charging, and when you switch on the cooker or water heater, the breaker trips. A dedicated circuit and a charger set to what your supply can take stop it happening again.

  • Your business has company cars or customer parking, so several chargers share one supply and its power.

  • Your new house will have a garage, and an electric car is a few years off. The easiest time to run the charger cable is now, before the plastering.

Good to know

Charger power is simple arithmetic: a single-phase 32 A supply gives about 7.4 kW (1 x 32 A x 230 V), three-phase at 16 A about 11 kW, and three-phase at 32 A about 22 kW. How fast the car actually charges also depends on the car: its on-board charger may take less than the wallbox offers.

How we work

  1. You send us the details.

Tell us which car you have and where it will stand while charging. Send us photos of your board, the meter and your latest electricity bill.

  2. We check the board and the supply.

We check the board's condition, the approved power and what the house already draws, then choose a charger power that won't overload the supply. The price depends mostly on the cable length and any work the board needs.

  3. We run a dedicated circuit.

A separate cable of the right size runs out to the charger from the board, with its own breaker and an RCD of the type the charger's manufacturer specifies.

  4. We mount the charger.

The charger goes on the garage wall or on a post by the parking space, at a height where the cable is easy to reach and doesn't drag on the ground.

  5. We switch on and test-charge.

We switch the charger on, check the protection and start a first charge, to see the charger and car working together. With you there, we set up the charging schedule in the charger's or the car's app.

Can I have an electric car charger installed at home?

Yes, if your connection and fuse board can take it. First we check whether the supply is single-phase or three-phase, how much power your connection is approved for and what state the board is in. If you need more power, the request goes to Elektrodistribucija Srbije. We then wire the charger to its own circuit, with its own protection.

Do I need a three-phase supply for a charger?

Not necessarily. A charger works on a single-phase supply too, just more slowly. Three-phase gives more power, but that only helps if your car can take a three-phase charge, and many plug-in hybrids and some electric cars can't. So before choosing a charger, we look at your car's specifications.

Can I charge the car from an ordinary socket?

You can, with the cable the car maker supplies, but slowly. The trouble is that the car draws a heavy current for hours from a circuit shared with other appliances, so the socket and joints heat up, especially in old wiring. Now and then it can do, but for daily charging a dedicated circuit with a charger is safer.
