Network cabling in Valjevo. Internet in every room, with no cable across the doorway

We put in network cabling so that the internet reaches every room or desk by cable, instead of depending on how far the router's signal carries. We do UTP and SFTP cabling, fit rack cabinets with PoE switches and other network equipment, and install internet and TV cabling, from the cabinet or router to sockets in the wall. We lay network cable in Belgrade, in Valjevo, which is our base, and in any town or village in Serbia.

What we do

  • UTP and SFTP cabling to every network socket
  • Rack cabinets, patch panels and switches
  • PoE and network equipment: routers and access points
  • Internet and TV cabling for each room
  • Network sockets, flush or surface-mounted
  • Ceiling Wi-Fi access points powered over PoE
  • Every cable tested and labelled

When you need it

  • You're opening an office for a small team, and the computers, printers and phones need a stable network.

  • Wi-Fi drops out in the bedroom, the garden or upstairs. An access point on a cable brings the signal where the router can't.

  • You're building or renovating, and the plaster isn't on yet. Network and TV cables go in during the same stage as the power cables, so they never end up across the floor.

  • You're putting up IP cameras, so each one needs a single cable for both picture and power. That's the job of the PoE switch in the rack.

  • You want TVs in several rooms, but the aerial or cable signal only reaches the living room. We run the TV cable to the other rooms as well.

Good to know

The fixed cable in the wall, from the rack to the socket, can be at most 90 metres long, and the whole link from switch to device, short patch leads included, at most 100 metres. The same cable can carry power too: that's PoE, under the IEEE 802.3af, at and bt standards. So a camera or a ceiling access point doesn't need a socket next to it.

How we work

  1. You mark the points on a sketch.

Mark on a plan or photo where you want computers, TVs, cameras and the router, and send it to us by message or email.

  2. We plan the routes and the rack.

We choose the spot for the rack and the cable routes, so no run from the rack to a socket is longer than 90 metres and data cables don't run right alongside power cables. How many points you need and how long the cables are decide the price.

  3. We pull and terminate the cables.

Cables run through conduit in the wall, along trunking or through the ceiling, and at each end we terminate them in network sockets and in the patch panel in the rack.

  4. We install the equipment.

We fit the switch, router or PoE switch for cameras in the rack, and mount the access points on ceilings or walls.

  5. We test every point.

At every socket we check that the link works and at what speed a computer or TV connects. Each cable gets the same label at the socket and in the rack.

Which cable is better, Cat5e or Cat6?

For a home or small office either will do, as both carry a gigabit network connection over runs of up to 100 metres. Cat6 can also carry 10 Gb/s, but only over shorter runs, up to about 55 metres. If the cable is going under plaster and will stay for years, Cat6 is the better choice, for headroom.

Do I need a rack cabinet at home?

Not always. With only a few network sockets, the cables can end in a small wall enclosure next to the router. A rack makes sense when there are more cables, or a camera recorder or PoE switch to house, because then all the equipment sits together, ventilated and easy to work on, and faults are easier to find.

Can one cable carry both internet and TV?

A network cable carries internet and IPTV, which comes from your internet provider, but not an aerial or traditional cable TV signal. That signal needs coaxial cable, so we run a separate one for it. That's why it's worth taking both to every room with a TV.
