Parking barriers in Valjevo. A car park that knows whose car is whose

An automatic parking barrier lets the vehicles you allow into your car park and keeps the rest at the entrance. It opens by remote control, by card or by number plate, which a camera reads. With the barrier we fit a loop in the asphalt and photocells, which keep the arm from coming down on a vehicle beneath it, and a traffic light at the entrance tells drivers when to go. We work out of Valjevo and install barriers in Belgrade and all around Serbia too.

What we do

  • A barrier post and arm for the car park entrance or exit
  • Opening by number plate: a camera reads the plate and checks the list
  • Opening by remote, card or tag
  • Photocells that stop the arm when something is under it
  • A loop in the asphalt that senses a vehicle at and under the barrier
  • A traffic light or warning lamp at the entrance
  • A log of every vehicle entry and exit
  • Cables and power brought from the board to the barrier

When you need it

  • People with no business there park in your company car park, and staff and customers are left without a space. With a barrier, you decide who gets in.

  • Residents share a car park or garage, and there are fewer spaces than cars. Each resident gets a remote or has their plate added to the list, and other vehicles stay out.

  • Delivery vehicles and visitors come through your company yard. Regular vehicles get in by number plate, and for deliveries you raise the barrier by remote from the gatehouse.

  • At night nobody is at the car park, yet you'd like to know who has been in. A barrier with plate reading logs every entry and exit, while a parking system also counts the free spaces.

Good to know

Under the barrier, a cable is laid as a loop in a narrow slot cut into the asphalt. When a car stops over the loop, a detector senses the metal of the vehicle. That's why the arm stays up until the car has crossed the loop, and a loop at the exit can raise the barrier by itself. A loop doesn't sense a pedestrian, and often not a bicycle either, so the photocells cover that part.

How we work

  1. You send us photos.

Take photos of the entrance from the street and from inside, and add how wide the lane is, where the nearest power supply is and who needs to get in.

  2. We plan the lane.

We decide where the post stands and how long the arm is, where the loop, photocells and traffic light go, and how the barrier opens: by remote, card or plate.

  3. We install the barrier.

We fix the post to a concrete base, cut the slot for the loop into the asphalt, lay the cables to the board and mount the arm, photocells and traffic light.

  4. We set up access.

We connect the card reader or plate camera, enter the remotes, cards and plates from your list and set how long the arm stays up.

  5. We drive through it.

We drive through the barrier a few times: the arm must not come down while the car is under it, and the photocells must stop it.

Can the barrier arm hit a car?

The loop in the asphalt and the photocells prevent it. While a car is over the loop, the arm stays up; if something enters the lane as the arm comes down, the photocells stop the arm and send it back up. Both must work, so have them checked at every service. Drivers should pass one at a time.

What does a parking barrier do in a power cut?

When the power goes, most barriers stay where they are, and the plate camera and the card reader usually stop working too. The housing is then unlocked with a key, the arm is raised by hand, and vehicles pass until power returns. If the entrance can't stay blocked even briefly, we fit a barrier with battery backup.

What goes into a parking barrier's price?

The lane width counts most: it sets the arm length and the type of barrier. The price also covers how it opens (plates need a camera, cards a reader), the number of loops and photocells, how far the power is and a concrete base if one is needed. A separate exit lane needs its own barrier, loops and photocells.
