Time and attendance. Arrivals and departures without the sign-in book

A time and attendance terminal records when each member of staff arrives and leaves, and the software turns those records into reports for payroll. We install terminals at entrances or on the shop floor, with card or tag readers, connect them to the network and enrol your staff, and the terminals can also work with access control and entry turnstiles. We work for businesses in Belgrade and the whole of Serbia, out of our base in Valjevo.

What we do

  • Terminals, one for each entrance or site
  • Clocking in by card, tag or fingerprint
  • Reports on arrivals, departures and overtime
  • Connecting the terminals to your company network
  • Enrolling staff and issuing cards
  • Links to access control and entry turnstiles

When you need it

  • Your staff work shifts, and the paper records get filled in after the fact and are full of corrections. A terminal records the exact time of every arrival and departure.

  • Your business has several sites or workshops, and you need one report covering all your staff, with nothing copied out by hand.

  • There are disagreements about overtime, so you need a record of arrivals and departures that both the business and the staff can rely on.

  • Every month your bookkeeper waits for the hours to be added up from notebooks. The software adds them up for you.

Good to know

The terminal is only half of the system: it records each clock-in and stores it, while the reports come from software on a computer or server that the terminal connects to over the network. Before choosing the equipment, it's worth asking your bookkeeper what form they need the data in, for example a spreadsheet or an export for payroll software, because that decides which software and terminal we choose.

How we work

  1. You tell us your headcount.

Tell us how many staff you record, which entrances they use and what shifts they work, and who needs the reports and in what form.

  2. We choose terminal positions.

We put the terminal where staff pass anyway, at a height that makes clocking in easy, and run power and a network cable to it.

  3. We link terminal and software.

We mount the terminal, connect it to your network and the software, and check that every clock-in shows up in the software.

  4. We enrol your staff.

We give each member of staff a card or tag and enter them in the software with their shift, and trial clock-ins show whether everything is set up correctly.

  5. We set the rules.

In the software we set the rules for lateness, breaks and overtime and produce a trial report, so you can check how it will look.

Can we use fingerprints for time and attendance?

Serbia's data protection commissioner (Poverenik) has taken the position that processing employees' fingerprints only to record working time is disproportionate to the purpose, because the same purpose can be achieved in other ways. So for time and attendance we suggest cards or tags. We don't advise on the law: the legal question is one for the Poverenik.

What if someone forgets their card?

That arrival is entered by hand in the software, which records that the entry was manual and who made it, if it has that feature. You decide who may do this, usually a shift supervisor or the accounts team. If cards keep getting forgotten, a keyring tag is handier, because people rarely leave their keys at home.

What is included in the price of a time and attendance system?

Terminals for each entrance or site, cards or tags for your staff, and the reporting software, bought outright or by subscription, depending on the maker. Network and power to the terminals come on top, plus a link to access control or entry turnstiles if you need one. Tell us your headcount and entrances, and we'll propose a set-up.
